2025 Boykin Spaniel Society Upland National Championship

We are guests of the owners, and they live here. I’m sure we can all respect the grounds, the owners, and the birds just like we do our dogs.

We hope that your weekend with us is a great one.

We will have a Handler meeting on 1/18/2025 at 7:30am.

All entries are accepted on the condition that the society, its officials, the membership and landowners are released from all liability for loss, damage or injury sustained by any dog or man in connection with or during the running of the trial. By signing, you agree NOT to hold the BSS responsible for loss of property or damage incurred during this event. By entry or attendance into this event you also give the BSS the right to publish the results, photos, and names and agree to have the results published in any BSS media outlet.

OFA Hip & Patella Testing 8 am to 5 pm

We are very excited that Dr. Nathan Craddock will be at Spring National with his mobile hip x-ray unit. Dr. Craddock typically works 8am - 5pm with lunch from 12pm -1pm , and he will schedule x-rays for 15 minutes per dog. To schedule an appointment for Hip and/or Patella testing with Dr Craddock please contact Lindsay Metler at 864-650-3151.

Paw Print Genetics DNA Clinic 10 am to 4 pm

Paw Print Genetics will have their staff on-site at Spring National to provide reduced cost DNA testing. Testing will be first come first serve basis from 10 am to 4 pm

REQUIREMENTS FOR PHOTO SUBMISSION:

• The owner of the pup must be a current BSS member

in good standing

• The pup must be BSS registered

• The BSS registration number (BSR#) must accompany the

photo along with the owner’s name.

• The pup must be 12 months or less WHEN the photo was taken

• The pup must be the primary subject of the photo

• There is a 2 photo limit per pup

• Photos must be at least 300 dpi and do not crop the photo to

resize. Send the original photo for best resolution

• Photos must be received at the BSS office via email at

boykinspanielsociety1977@gmail.com by 4 pm EST on

August 15, 2023

• There will be a 1st Place Cover Puppy Winner and 2nd-4th

places awarded. Ribbons will be mailed to the four contest

placements and honorable mention photos.

BSF Health Clinics 10 am - 4 pm

The Boykin Spaniel Foundation will hold its Health clinics on Thursday April 10, 2025 from 10 am until 4 pm. To schedule a heart or eye certification clinic call the BSS office 803-425-1032. Dr. Dan Hall will also offer heart echo for those interested (must schedule appointments). The cost is $300 per dog and requires 25 minutes to perform. Please have your dog's BSR# and your membership# handy when you call. Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your appointment to complete the necessary paperwork. Microchip clinic is first come first serve with a $10 fee for the chip. Patellar Luxation exams will be performed for $25 and are first come first serve. Paw Print Genetics staff will be on site as well. DNA testing is first come first serve with a reduced cost fee for DNA tests.
