The Boykin
Spaniel Society is a staunch supporter of Boykin Spaniel Rescue, Inc. (BSR,
Inc.) and hopes that since you are perusing the BSS WebPages that you will
consider giving a home to those less fortunate Boykins that have been rescued
and are now awaiting adoption by a loving and caring family.
Boykin
Spaniel Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that was chartered
for the sole purpose of rescuing pure bred Boykins from shelters, from
relinquishing owners due to personal problems and saving Boykins that are
abandoned, or are found roaming free without owner’s identification. BSR,
Inc. is a nationwide group of volunteers that has a common goal of preventing
the needless and inevitable euthanasia of unfortunate Boykins that wind up in
shelters across the United States.
BSR, Inc. needs your help to save as
many Boykins as we possibly can! BSR, Inc. needs homes for dogs that are
currently being fostered by the volunteer group and we also need your
contributions to assist in funding this humane and dignified effort. In January
of 2001 the Boykin Spaniel Society increased litter registration fees from $20
to $40 to help fund the BSR, Inc. initiative. Since that time $20 of each
litter registration fee is designated for use by the Boykin Spaniel Rescue,
Inc. but that is not enough to support the national efforts to save our little
brown friends that are in shelters.
